Judicial Institute of Jordan

General Information

 

 

The Judicial Institute of Jordan (  JIJ )was established in 1988. It is the only governmental institution responsible for initial judicial training. The Board of the judicial institute is responsible for Institutes’ public policy and Minister of Justice is the Chairman of the Board.

Jij objectives

 

  • Prepare law graduated persons to  assume judicial positions.
  • Enhances the judges and judicial assistants’ efficiency and performance through the training programs held by the institute for this purpose and enhancing their research skills.
  • Exchange expertise and cooperation with similar institutions in Arab and foreign countries.
  • Encourage the cooperation with Arab and foreign agencies in the field of judicial and legal  issue.
 

 

JIJ Institute managed by a judge, seconded by the Judicial Council based on a nomination by the Minster,

 The Judicial Institute of Jordan main training programs are  the  Initial training (Judicial Institute Diploma ) and Continuous  training  for judges and prosecutors also provide training programs for  Ministry of Justice staff members  other governmental and privet staff( on demand).  Besides The Judicial Institute of Jordan Organizing seminar, conference and similar activities in the field of law and justice.

The judicial institute of Jordan is Developing judicial and legal cooperation and exchange expertise with similar Arab institutions besides cooperation with International judicial and legal institutes and regional entities

  It deserve to be mentioned that  JIJ is the secretarial headquarter of European- Arab Judicial training network.
