Conditions for obtaining service

  • The office or company should be licensed, and the license is valid.
  • The buyer should be a Jordanian national and no less than (21) years old, and not to be a government or military employee, with the exception of non-Jordanians in the event of transferring the ownership of a car rental office.
  • Both parties to be present in person.

Procedures

  • The applicant refers to the receptionist to submit a written requisition signed by the seller and the buyer, attached with all documents where he audits the application.
  • The application is transferred to the passengers’ transport directorate/ licensing department to study it, and if the conditions are met, the applicant refers to the cashier to pay the inspection fees.
  • The licensing department schedules the inspection appointment.
  • The committee conducts a field inspection and prepares the technical report.
  • Based on the decision of the technical committee: if the conditions are not met according to the instructions under which the company was licensed, the applicant is provided with the shortfalls to be rectified.
  • The applicant submits a requisition to conduct a field inspection to make sure conditions are rectified.
  • If the technical report comply with the instructions official letters are prepared signed by the general manager addressed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (in case of individual buyer) and Companies Control Department (if the buyer was more than one person).
  • The applicant/buyer brings the new commercial register and trade name certificate.
  • The applicant/ buyer brings a bank guarantee for performance bond.
  • The applicant/buyer refers to the passengers’ transport directorate/licensing department and submits a requisition for approving changes attached with the required documents and the new operational contract is organized and signed by the buyer.
  • The applicant/buyer pays the determined fees.
  • The applicant/buyer is provided with an official letter signed by the general manager addressed to the Vehicle and Driver’s License Registration to approve changes.
  • The applicant/ buyer refers to the general administration or the region to verify the changes and issuing new permit under his name.

Required Documents

  • A copy of valid professions practicing license.
  • A copy of the office/company registration certificate issued by the companies Controller.
  • A copy of trade name registration certificate.
  • ID for the concerned parties.
