Conditions for obtaining service

  • The registered capital should not be less than (50,000) fifty thousand Jordanian Dinars.
  • The number of owned trucks and/or financially leased for the company/ institution requesting licensing should not be less than (5) trucks and (5) semi-trailers with valid licenses and in accordance with the transportation mode to be licensed, and the trucks should be owned by individual transporters.
  • The area of the company’s office should not be less than (50) square meters, and must be provided with a telephone, a fax and a sign, and the parking area of the trucks should not be less than 2 acres.
  • A Jordanian manager holding a high school certificate as a minimum.
  • The number of the administrative staff should not be less than three employees including the manager except drivers and correspondents.

Procedures

  • A duly filled approved service application is provided attached with all documents for the Freight Transport Directorate.
  • Providing the applicant with a follow-up card and a bank guarantee form for a period of one year presented by a commercial bank amounting (10,000) ten thousand dinars for the body unconditioned and payable when required in accordance with the approved form.
  • The application and the documents are audited and are transferred to Corporate Licensing Department in the directorate to schedule an appointment for field inspection.
  • The applicant is provided with a collection warrant to pay inspection fees to the cashier.
  • The Corporate Licensing Department examines the applications and verifies the accuracy of the data and documents.
  • The corporate licensing department conducts the field inspection and prepares field inspection report on the location of the applicant and assigning the service application.
  • If the inspection report complies with the required conditions, the applicant pays the prescribed fees to the cashier.
  • The company’s data is entered on the electronic licensing system.
  • Issuing a license to practice heavy works of goods or freight mediators.
  • Signing the license by the General Manager or the authorized for a calendar year. 
  • Delivering the license to the applicant.

Required Documents

  • A new commercial register from the Ministry of Industry and Trade stating the purposes and the capital in addition to the names of the partners.
  • A certified lease contract or certificate of registration of the company’s office and the trucks’ parking area recently issued.
  • A copy of the ID and the qualification of the manager not less than high school.
  • A list from the Vehicle and Driver’s License Registration of the numbers of the trucks stating their ownership, use and the expiry date of their license as approved.
  • Organization Chart from the municipality or secretariat for the truck’s parking area and an approval for using the areas.
  • A certificate from Social Security Corporation for three employees including the manager.
  • Bank guarantee for the Land Transport Regulatory Commission in accordance with the approved form.
