Licensing to practice heavy lift works of goods on land not subject to classification.

Conditions for obtaining service

  • The registered capital should not be less than (50,000) fifty thousand JD.
  • The number of owned or financially leased trucks for the company/ institution requesting licensing should not be less than (5) trucks and (5) semi-trailers with valid licenses and in accordance with the transportation mode to be licensed, and the trucks should be owned by passenger carriers.
  • The area of the company’s office should not be less than (50) square meters, and must be provided with a telephone, a fax and a sign, and the parking area of the trucks should not be less than 2 acres.
  • A Jordanian manager holding a high school certificate as a minimum.
  • The number of the administrative staff should not be less than three employees including the manager except drivers and correspondents.

Procedures

  • the applicant submits a duly filled approved service application attached with all documents for Freight Transport Directorate.
  • Providing the applicant with a follow-up card and a bank guarantee form for a period of one year from a commercial bank amounting (10,000) ten thousand dinars for the body unconditioned and payable when required in accordance with the approved form.
  • The application and the documents are audited and are transferred to Corporate Licensing Department in the directorate to schedule an appointment for field inspection.  
  • The applicant is provided with a collection warrant for the payment of inspection fees to the cashier.
  • The Corporate Licensing Department examines the applications and verifies the accuracy of the data and documents.

Required Documents

  • A new commercial register from the Ministry of Industry and Trade stating the purposes and the capital in addition to the names of partners, whose number shouldn’t be no less than (10) of passengers’ carrier’s owners.  
  • A certified lease contract or certificate of registration of the company’s office and the trucks’ parking area recently issued.
  • A copy of the ID and qualification of the manager not less than high school.
  • A list from the Vehicle and Driver’s License Registration of the numbers of the trucks stating their ownership, use and the expiry date of their license as approved.
  • Organization Chart from the municipality for the truck’s parking area and an approval for using the areas.
  • A certificate from the Social Security Corporation for three employees including the manager.
  • Bank guarantee for the Land Transport Regulatory Commission in accordance with the approved form.
