The NCARE Council is composed of:

·            The Minister of Agriculture, Chairman.

·            The Director General / NCARE, Vice Chairman.

·            The Secretary-General, Ministry of Agriculture.

And Representatives from:

·            Ministry of Planning.

·            Ministry of Water and Irrigation.

·            Higher Council for Science and Technology.

·            Faculties of Agriculture / Jordan Universities.

·            Distinguished public figure.

The Council is responsible for:

·            Endorsing NCARE's Strategy, agriculture research plans and priorities, annual programs and budgets, agreements and contracts with regional international agricultural research institutions.

·            Developing guidelines and procedures for co-coordinating NCARE's activities with relevant national bodies, i.e., government institutions, colleges of agriculture and private sector.
