What are the conditions for temporary Entry of Foreign Private Vehicles?
Foreign vehicles of Jordanians, Arabs and foreigners entering the Kingdom for the purpose of temporary residence in the Kingdom are given temporary entry as follows:
1. Vehicles that are guaranteed by a trip-tiquet are granted six month sojourn directly from the customs center provided there is no repetition.
2. Vehicles that are not guaranteed by a trip-tiquet are granted three month sojourn, which may be extended for another three months by the Department.
Conditions that must be fulfilled by the vehicle:
1. The vehicle must be registered in the country where it is licensed and that its license is valid and does not have export plates.
2. The vehicle must have local insurance covering the Jordanian territories during the granted period.
3. Submitting a certified international trip-tiquet, and if this is not available, the vehicle’s specification are listed on the owner’s passport.
Conditions that must be fulfilled by the person requesting the vehicle entry:
1. Must be the owner of the car or authorized to drive it under a private proxy issued and authenticated from the country where the vehicle is registered.
2. Must have a valid residency in the country where the vehicle is registered, if subject person is not a citizen of that country.
3. Must have a valid driver license from the vehicle’s country, or an international driver license or a Jordanian driver license.
For the purpose of granting a three-month temporary entry licenses for Iraqi, Lebanese, Saudi, and German vehicles from the entry customs center:
1. The Jordanian citizen entering in his Iraqi vehicle must have resided in Iraq for more than six months and must present proof that he has business in Iraq.
2. Persons residing in Lebanon must have an accredited residency separate from the passport. The residency card fixed on the passport is not accepted and the official card of Lebanon is approved.
3. Saudi exit and re-entry visas for arriving citizens (non-Saudis) from Saudi Arabia is accredited.
4. Residency fixed on the passport of citizens residing in Germany is approved, while tourist visas are not accepted.
Provisions of the international trip-tiquet are:
+D1461. Must be valid for the whole sojourn.
2. Must be accepted by the Customs Department.
Procedures concerning the international trip-tiquet:
1. The number and date of the temporary entry license and the granted period must be registered/written on the trip-tiquet.
2. Customs keeps the entry/exit sheets of the trip-tiquet at entry/exit points.
3. The number and date of the customs declaration by which the vehicle was cleared is entered on the trip-tiquet in addition to keeping the financial liability certificate.
Facilitations for Arab and foreign students studying at Jordanian universities and colleges and participants in military courses:
1. Arab and foreign students studying in Jordanian universities and colleges and participants in military courses are permitted to renew their vehicles’ temporary entry permits during the period of studying provided that customs duties are secured by an international trip-tiquet recognized in Jordan or by a bank guarantee or undertaking from the embassy. In case the trip-ticket has expired in the Kingdom, the vehicle entry may be renewed for a period not exceeding three months until the required guarantees are renewed, provided that the vehicle’s specifications are stamped on their passports or an undertaking from their embassies is presented, provided that a student registration proof for the term in which the trip-tiquet expires is presented.
2. In case that license of vehicles entered with Arab and foreign students studying in Jordanian universities and colleges and participants in military courses expires during the studying term, the vehicle’s entry permit is renewed during the remaining period of the term during which the license expired provided it does not exceed three months.
3. Arab and foreign students who have temporary entry permits for their vehicles are permitted to request permission for another student to drive the vehicle provided that an authorization authenticated and issued from the embassy of the country of the vehicle is presented permitting the other student to drive the car in the Kingdom.
4. Permits of foreign vehicles entered under the temporary entry status for Arab and foreign students during the summer term may be renewed if subject students are not registered for that term provided that the beneficiary is not a graduate student, and proof from the university must be submitted.
1. The temporary entry license must be valid.
2. The temporary entry license must be kept in the exit center and the owner of the vehicle must return to take it during its validity.
3. When the owner returns during the stated period, he will be given the entry license; otherwise, if the owner does not return or if the vehicle’s residency expires, the license is sent to the Department for follow up.
4. A special file is prepared at each customs border center to save temporary entry licenses.

Second: When the company wishes to export its products for the first time, the Amman Chamber of Industry pays a visit to the exporting company to identify production procedures.
Third: The invoice should have the following characteristics:
- 1. It should be a commercial/trade invoice and not a price offer.
- 2. It should be printed and not handwritten.
- 3. The exporting company’s name must be clear.
- 4. The number and date of the invoice should be clearly indicated.
- 5. The name and address of the consignee and the country of destination should appear on the invoice.
- 6. The description of the goods to be exported should conform to the description mentioned in the industrial registration of the exporting company.
