The Mission
Providing an adequate environment to attract and develop local and foreign investments and having the customers satisfaction through services characterized by efficiencies and transparency, through the application of total quality concepts, activating good partnership and interpreting the same to a real and natural conduct through coordination and integration with customers and concerned parties.
The Objective of The Free Zones Corporation 

1. Attracting local and foreign capitals and employing them in the country in the various investment activities.
2. Introducing technology and technical skills in to the Kingdom.
3. Employment of the local savings and investing them in industry, trade and various economic activities established in the free zones.
4. Activating the transport sectors and other services.
5. Providing work opportunities for Jordanians and enhancing their skills.
6. Developing new areas in the Kingdom through the establishment of the investment projects.
7.Encouraging export industries and activating the transit trade.
8.Promoting the unique role of the private sector in establishing private and joint free zones which use local raw materials in production inputs.
9. Supporting the national economy with hard currency tp bolster the Balance of Payments.
10.Strengthening the upstream and downstream links of the commodity and service production sectors in the free zones with their production complement in the multi-various economic activities in the kingdom so as to develop the national economy.

Services & Facilities 

The investment, industrial, commercial and service projects which are erected in the free zones enjoy the following exemptions:

1.        Providing the Free Zones with the necessary facilities, services and infrastructure such as electricity, water, modern telecommunication nets, in addition to a modern net of internal roads.

2.        Erection of areas and storage facilities to cover the investors' requirements inside the free zones.

3.        Opening branches of some banks inside the free zones in order to facilitate the necessary banking services for the investors. Also, branches of insurance, and clearance companies have been opened.

4.        The Corporation started registration of Companies inside the free zones instead of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and thus saving the investors' time and effort.

5.        Issuing certificates of origin (Free Zones) for the industrial products produced inside the free zones, which have local inputs of less than (40%).

6.        Lands Rentals Charges in the Jordanian free zones are the least among the other free zones in the world.

7.        Investment applications are dealt without delay and decisions are taken as soon as possible.

1) Zarqa Free Zone :
Location: Zarqa Governorate / a (35) kilometers northeast of the capital Amman.
Area: (5200) acres.

2) Sahab Free Zone:
Location: City skyscraper / King Abdullah II Industrial City / Capital Governorate.
Area: (70) dunums.

3)  Queen Alia International Airport Free Zone:
Location: Queen Alia International Airport / Capital Governorate.
Area: (35) dunums.

Location: Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial City / Karak governorate.

About JDZ

Jordan Development Zones Company (JDZ) was established in October 2010 to serve as the Master Developer for The Dead Sea Development Zone and the Jabal Ajloun Development Area Zone. The establishment of the JDZ is intended to set the stage for the engagement of private sector partners to participate in the development of both zones under special commercial terms and conditions. It is believed that establishment of the Area will significantly enhance the development prospects, tourism revenue and economic impacts to Jordan that may be generated by the absolutely unique status of the Dead Sea and Jebel Ajloun and the realization of their potential as a global tourism destinations.

Specifically the establishment of the Company will enable the following:

  • Bring the Development Zones Under a Single Master Plan;
  • Allow One or More Master Developers to Contribute to the Development of Tourism- and Community-Related Infrastructure;
  • Offer a Streamlined Business Operating Environment for Investors and Business Owners;
  • Create Synergies Between Individual Resorts and Attractions Through Common Zoning, Signage, Architectural Guidelines, and Pedestrian, Cycling, and Road Transportation Linkages Between Properties and Through Parks and Other Attractions;
  • Foster a Unified and Comprehensive Tourism Experience, Which in Part Will Solidify the Dead Sea and Jebel Ajloun as Global
  • Tourism Destinations;
  • Developer for The Dead Sea Development Zone and the Jabal Ajloun Development Zone.   • Own, Operate, Enhance, Develop Lands Within the Development Areas Including the Infrastructure Works as Well the Works of Construction, Management, Development of Services and Utilities such as; Electricity, Water, Safety and Environment Requirements and any Other Services Related Thereto.
  • Carry Out All the Necessary Activities to Conduct Any Economic Activity Including Selling, Purchasing, Renting, Leasing, Managing and Transfer of Ownership.
  • Promote and Market the Development Areas
  • Contract with Experts, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers & Developers
  • Carry Out Any Economic Activity in the Zone
  • Own and Sell Any Real Estate-Property and Determine its Purchase, Investment and Lease Price, as well as Sub-Leasing
